Fethiye to Olympos yacht cruise (4 days)

Explore the beautiful Mediterranean coastline on this four-day Fethiye to Olympos yacht cruise. This route is often taken by travellers making a longer independent tour of Turkey, and of course can also be arranged in the opposite direction, Olympos to Fethiye.

Fethiye, Ölüdeniz, Gemiler Island

Our yacht awaits you, moored in the harbour at Fethiye. The first leg of your journey will be to the sandy bay at Samanlık for lunch. Take a refreshing dip in water cooled by an underwater spring from the mountains above. Then we’ll be moving on to Ölüdeniz, a popular tourist destination with a calm lagoon ideal for swimming, parasailing and other water sports, overlooked by the twin peaks of the Babadağ mountain. The adventurous can try paragliding from its slopes.

Journey’s end for the day is Gemiler Island. Explore the island’s ruined churches, and find a viewpoint ready to enjoy the glorious sunset.

Fırnaz Bay, Kaş, Aperlai

On Day Two, while you enjoy a lie-in, we’ll be up early to navigate the open waters of the Seven Capes. By the time you wake up, we’ll be approaching Fırnaz Bay, near Kalkan, for a welcome breakfast before moving on to the pretty harbour town of Kaş. Pick up some souvenirs, or simply sit with a coffee and watch the world go by.

We’ll arrive in Sıcak Bay for the night with plenty of time to spare. Those who wish can explore the unspoilt Aperlai peninsula and the ruined Lycian city, where coins from the 5th century BC have been discovered.

Sunken City, Simena, Gökkaya Bay

The third day brings you the opportunity to explore Kekova Island’s sunken city. Accessible only by boat, this famous tourist destination is well worth seeing. Then it’s on to the charming hillside village of Simena, which rewards those who climb the steep streets with locally-made ice cream and herbal tea.

Gökkaya Bay, dotted with islands, is our overnight resting-place. There’ll be time for a swim, and, if you wish, a boat trip to the Roman ruins, a pirate cave or an open-air bar – something for everyone!

Andriake, Transfer to Olympos

After one more delicious breakfast, we’ll put in at the harbour of Andriake in Demre, where you can see the Roman theatre and the tombs hewn from solid rock. This was also the home of Saint Nicholas, whose generous deeds gave rise to the legend of Father Christmas.

Your journey from Fethiye to Olympos by yacht ends here, as you say goodbye to the gulet and complete your journey by bus.
